The handset was launched at $299.99 (€222) on a two-year contract

Mobile phone users in the United States can now purchase the LG G Flex smartphone from Sprint, after the device was available for pre-order at the company for about two weeks.

The curved handset lands on shelves with a price tag of $299.99 (€222) attached to it with the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the wireless operator. However, those who would rather purchase it without signing of a contract will have to pay $649.99 (€482) to grab it.

At the moment, the mobile phone is available at the company only via its online store, but it is expected to arrive in Sprint’s brick and mortar stores as soon as February 7.

For those out of the loop, we should note that LG G Flex was made official with a 6-inch curved screen capable of delivering a 720p resolution.

LG G Flex is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

The handset sports a 13-megapixel camera on the back, with LED flash and support for full HD video recording, while also packing a 2MP front camera for making video calls.

It features a 3500mAh battery inside, capable of offering up to 29 hours of talk time. The smartphone also comes with support for Sprint’s 4G LTE network, and with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, in addition to built-in GPS receiver.
