The smartphone was initially launched in the country for Rs 69,999

Good news for those who want to stand out from the crowd when it comes to smartphones, as one of the most innovative handsets on the market, the LG G Flex has just gotten a major discount in India.

Although the smartphone was initially launched in India for no less than Rs 69,999 ($1,145 / €855), LG has decided to make it more affordable for customers in this country.

This why the smartphone is now available at Flipkart for only Rs 44,680 ($730 / €545), which is a great deal for those who previously wanted the G Flex but did not have the amount needed.

Those who wish to take advantage of this offer should know that the smartphone is still in stock and Flipkart is likely to deliver all orders in 4-5 business days.

With the self-healing back cover and the curved display, this smartphone is like no other on the market. Obviously, it’s not for everyone given its rather large size and, for some, still high price.

Nevertheless, Android fans who would like to know what they will get for this price should know that the LG G Flex offers top notch features. The bad news is that the smartphone does not check all the boxes when it comes to required specs for Indian market.

For example, the curved handset lacks microSD card slot for memory expansion. Also, it doesn’t offer dual-SIM capability, which is another drawback for potential customers in India.

On the positive side it does come with FM Radio function and a powerful 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

As mentioned earlier, LG G Flex does not feature microSD card slot, but it packs 32GB of internal memory which should be enough for average use.

Obviously, the phone’s main selling point is the 6-inch curved P-OLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating. Sadly, the phone’s screen only supports 245ppi (pixel per inch), which is rather low for a high-end device.

On the back, LG G Flex boasts an enhanced 13-megapixel photo snapper that features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there’s a secondary 2.1-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies.

It’s also worth mentioning that the G Flex is powered by a non-removable 3500 mAh battery, which should provide up to 720 hours of talk time or up to 15 hours of talk time.
