LG and Rogers announced back in February that the G Flex would be exclusively available in Canada through the carrier’s official retail channels. The smartphone has been confirmed to arrive “this spring,” but neither company disclosed any details regarding the LG G Flex’s exact release date.

Today, Rogers has confirmed that LG G Flex will be available for purchase online and via brick and mortar stores beginning April 3. Potential customers should know that Rogers priced the LG G Flex at $200 (€130) on two-year agreements.

Those who do not wish to commit to long-term contracts will also be able to get the LG G Flex for around $650 (€420) upfront on month-to-month.

Keep in mind that while the smartphone will ship with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, an upgrade to Android 4.4.2 KitKat will be available for download soon.

It is also worth mentioning that the smartphone will only be available in Titan Silver, as LG did not launch any other color options for the G Flex.

We have already reviewed the curved smartphone and those who wish to know more in-depth details about the device can check out our LG G Flex full review. Here is a quick recap of the LG G Flex’s neat features for those who don’t have the time to read our extensive review.

Well, the LG G Flex is the second curved smartphone launched on the market after the Samsung Galaxy Round, but the only one to benefit from a global rollout.

The handset’s main selling point is the stunning 6-inch curved P-OLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution, but only 245 ppi (pixel density). The phone’s curved display features Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating for extra protection.

The enhanced 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, but lacks OIS (optical image stabilization).

Hardware-wise, the G Flex is as powerful as it can be at the time of its launch. The curved device is equipped with a 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

One of the few downsides of the LG G Flex is the fact that it lacks microSD card. Even though it comes with 32GB of internal memory, some Android users may not find the amount of storage satisfactory.

Last but not least, the phone’s 3500 mAh Li-Polymer battery should provide an amazing 720 hours of standby time or up to 15 hours of talk time.
