South Korean handset maker LG has just announced the G Flex will start arriving in Europe next month. The curved smartphone will be available in more than 20 European countries beginning February, including France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Sweden and the UK.

Unfortunately, the company did not offer any details on exact release data and pricing options, so we must assume these will be announced by each carrier/retailer with just a few days before the LG G Flex becomes available.

For the time being, LG G Flex is only available in some Asian countries, such as Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore. The smartphone has also been confirmed to arrive in the United States at all three major carriers: AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile.

But that's not all, as LG announced the European launch of the G Flex “will pave the way for rollouts in other parts of the world.” This means that Android fans from other territories who are anxious to grab the curved smartphone will be able to do sooner rather then later.

As expected, the G Flex will ship with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, but LG is likely to offer a KitKat upgrade in the coming weeks.

It is also worth mentioning the phone's UX comes with unique features such as QTheatre, Dual Window and Swing Lockscreen designed specifically for the curved screen.

“The introduction of the LG G Flex in Europe demonstrates our confidence in the global marketplace for a curved smartphone. As a premium smartphone, the G Flex will further establish LG as a brand that offers something unique for every consumer segment.

This is a device that is guaranteed to start a conversation wherever it goes,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
