We already reported on the upcoming LG Eclypse a few times, but the smartphone is yet to make its debut on the market. Initially slated for a December 2 release at Bell Canada, the device was delayed for December 12.

However, it appears that another Canadian carrier will offer the LG Eclypse, alongside Bell Canada, namely SaskTel.

The carrier already listed the phone on its webstore with the “Coming Soon” tag, which means it will soon go live, possibly at the same time as Bell’s variant.

The LG Eclypse will be available for as low as $49.99 (37 EUR) with a new three-year agreement and data plan, or for $99.99 (75 EUR) with a Voice Only data plan.

Customers who do not want to commit to a long term contract can purchase the LG Eclypse for a suggested retail price of $299.99 (225 EUR).

Additional contract options are offers by SaskTel as follows: $149.99 (110 EUR) with 2-year contract, $199.99 (150 EUR) with 1-year plan.

Although the LG Eclypse is an Android smartphone, the devices is likely to be aimed at customers who prefer messaging phones most.

In this regard, the handset features a slide-out form factor and comes with a full QWERTY keyboard and a large 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen that supports 320 x 480 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

According to SaskTel, the LG Eclypse “provides a completely uncompromised experience. With DLNA included, amaze yourself as you stream content to your television or computer.”

The phone comes with 4G support, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. On the back, the Eclypse features a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) video recording capabilities.

On the inside the smartphone packs a 1GHz single core processor, 1GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

The phone’s battery is rated by the manufacturer for up to 10 days of standby time or up to 3 hours of talk time.
