South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics is set to bring to the market a new smartphone running under Google’s Android operating system, one that should sport model number E980 when brought to the market.
hasn’t been officially introduced as of now, but it made an appearance
online in a User Agent Profile with support for LTE / W-CDMA / GSM connectivity packed inside.
As My LG Phones notes in a recent post
, the device also runs under Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean platform, while featuring a screen capable of delivering a full HD 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution.
Chances are that this smartphone would arrive on shelves as the successor for LG’s Optimus G flagship device, long-rumored to be unveiled in the first quarter of this year as Optimus G2
. The model numbers of the two (Optimus G is E970) suggests the same.
