More and more evidence that one of the first devices to bring the new Windows Phone 7 operating system to the market would be the LG E900 has just emerged, as Amazon.de listed the handset on its website.

Not only does this move confirm the near launch of this device on the German market, complemented by its arrival on other European countries, but it also confirms the name the phone would sport when made available.

As previously rumored, the new device should be called LG Optimus 7, which puts it in the appealing list of Optimus devices the handset vendor already unveiled to the world.

According to the listing on Amazon.de (via Engadget), the new LG E900 Optimus 7 should sport a price tag of €499 when made available for purchase.

However, there are no specific details available for the time being on the actual availability of the new mobile phone, though previous rumors suggested that October 21st should bring the first Windows Phone 7 device to shelves, and LG E900 Optimus 7 should land on the same day too.

However, the official release date for this device, and for similar Windows Phone 7 handsets, won't be unveiled until October is here, most probably October 11, if rumors on Microsoft announcing the new OS flavor officially on that day pan out.

In the meantime, we should take a look at some specifications of LG E900 Optimus 7 that were confirmed by Amazon.de, including a 5-megapixel camera, GPS capabilities, or a 3.5-inch touchscreen display.

No official image with the mobile phone was listed on the retailer's website, and we'll still have to wait a few weeks before it is brought to light, that's for sure.

All in all, it appears that the first Windows Phone 7-based handsets are indeed as close to release as expected, and that their price tags would be within the known limits, though we'll have to wait for more confirmation on this one too.
