The desktop PC industry might have seen better days, compared to the current situation, but some system builders remain consistent and continue to release new models that boast the traditional form factor. Such is the case with one of the world's leading vendors of consumer electronics, LG, which has just announced the debut of its new series of desktop computer systems. Unveiled in South Korea, the new XPION 30 family of desktop PCs is expected to become part of the company's 2010 product portfolio.

Featuring a compact, but also stylish external design, the new desktop PCs will be loaded with Microsoft's fresh new Windows 7 operating system, providing consumers with an optimized performance. Kicking off with the XPION T30, the new desktop PC will be equipped with a 3.06GHz Core 2 Duo E7600 processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM, a 640GB hard drive and a DVD writer. In addition, the unit sports NVIDIA's entry-level GeForce 210 graphics card with 512MB of VRAM.

The A30 model has been designed to also take advantage of the performance capabilities of the aforementioned E7600 processor, but with the addition of 3GB of memory, a 500GB hard drive, a Super Multi DVD drive, and the GeForce GT 220 graphics card, with 1GB of memory. Moreover, the XPION S30 model comes with one of Intel's latest, the Core i7 750, clocked at 2.66GHz and coupled with 3GB of RAM, a 640GB hard drive, and the same DVD burner. The S30 ups the ante with a GeForce GT 9600 GT graphics card, featuring 512MB of graphics memory.

Unfortunately, that's pretty much everything that is available on the new LG desktops, but the company is expected to announce more details, once these systems will be made available on a worldwide level. Suggested prices are at around 1,500,000 KRW( US$1300), 1,000,000 KRW(US$864) and 1,200,000 KRW (US$1100), respectively.
