This much was revealed by a trademark filing with the USPTO

Patents are wordy, cut-and-dry things, so everyone other than hardware and software designers usually avoid them. However, they can be fountains of information if you know where to look.

In this case, the place where you're meant to look is a certain filing with the USPTO, a filing for the G Health.

G Health is a smartwatch that LG intends to design and have compete with the Samsung Galaxy Gear.

LG and Samsung are always trying to one-up each other, whether through product releases or lawsuits, so it makes sense that this would happen.

The G Health Smartwatch is just a trademark for now, but a product should be available by early 2014.

The watch might have a flexible display (like G Flex smartphone) and, maybe, curved batteries. Everything else is up to speculation.
