South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics has been rumored recently to plan on teaming up with Huawei for the forming of a joint venture to boost sales, but the company has already denied such rumors, it seems.

According to a recent article on PhoneArena, the handset vendor claims that the story is purely speculative, and that there is no evidence available to support this.

The company also suggests that there are no discussions for the forming of such a partnership and that there have never been such talks.

The same analyst that reportedly suggested that LG could form a joint venture with Huawei also said that the company would plan on exiting the smartphone market, which doesn’t seem credible either.

Basically, this means that both companies will continue to function as they do at the moment, but stay tuned for more on the matter.
