LG Connect 4G is one of the affordable LTE devices that will soon make their way to the North American smartphone market. Unveiled earlier this month at the International Consumer Electronics Show, LG Connect 4G will be available at MetroPCS in early February.

Although the carrier has yet to reveal the smartphone’s pricing options, it appears that LG Connect 4G will be delivered with MetroPCS’ Rhapsody Unlimited Music on board.

Furthermore, Korean handset manufacturer LG confirmed plans to launch the Connect 4G at additional US-based carriers, such as Sprint and Verizon Wireless.

In this regard, it appears that folks over at WirelessGoodness have just spotted Verizon’s variant of LG Connect 4G. Also known as LG VS840, the smartphone won approval for CDMA/EVDO networks and LTE band 13.

Verizon Wireless will be the second carrier to offer the LG Connect 4G in the United States, after MetroPCS. Sprint’s version, LG LS840 has yet to receive its FCC (Federal Communications Commission) certifications.

LG Connect 4G is powered by Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform and comes with a large 4.0-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

The phone’s main strong point is the LTE support, but other than that it also comes with a 5-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) video recording, and a VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

It further packs 4GB storage, 1GB of RAM, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), as well as a 1.2 GHz dual core processor.

Aside from LTE support, LG Connect 4G offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options, along with microUSB, GPS with A-GPS support, and Wi-Fi hotspot capability.

Verizon’s LG Connect 4G should be announced within the next few weeks, most likely under a different name.
