South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics is already working on a successor for the LG G2, and the company has confirmed plans to include biometric authentication inside the device.

The info was unveiled at the LG G Pro 2 launch event, when an LG executive confirmed that either fingerprint or eye-scanning technology will be included inside the upcoming device, a post on ZDNet Korea unveils.

However, no further details on the matter have been provided, which means that we’ll have to wait for the smartphone to go official to learn specifics on the matter.

For those out of the loop, we should note that LG G3 was recently said to arrive sometime in May or June this year as a powerful handset, and that some expect it to prove a great competitor for the Galaxy S5 smartphone that Samsung should make official at MWC later this month.
