14 DAY TRIAL // On Sunday, South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics unveiled its financial results for the fourth quarter of the last year, confirming an increase in sales when compared to the same quarter a year before.
The company managed to sell 13.2 million devices in the timeframe, up 54 percent from the previous year, as a recent article on Re/code reads.
Apparently, the LG G2, which managed to top 2 million sold units several weeks ago, was one of the growth drivers, along with Nexus 5, the latest Google phone out there.
Furthermore, the rise in sales helped LG’s mobile division increase its revenue by 29 percent from the same quarter a year ago. However, LG did announce that an increased price competition and marketing costs had affected profits.
