Smartphone, smart TV and PC owners roaming the Google Play or LG SmartWorld app stores, as well as the LG Cloud website, may spot a certain new app there, called LG Cloud.

That little program is the clue that LG Electronics is ready to launch the LG Cloud service, which automatically synchronizes smartphone, TV and PC content via the cloud server.

That means that you can take a photo or video with your phone and then view or stream it to a PC or HDTV without any delay.

The need to copy the data from a memory card, or through a data cable or whatever else, is, thus, removed.

You don't have to wait even a minute in fact, since the content isn't actually downloaded from the cloud account when accessed. It is streamed directly.

LG's Real-time Streaming Transcoding technology does most of the work: the server handles file conversion and decoding, removing the need for codecs or special programs. This includes 3D video.
