Following a long list of leaked info, photos and the like, the LG C900 mobile phone has finally received FCC approval on its way bringing Windows Phone 7 to AT&T's airwaves in the United States.

This is not the first time we learn that the LG C900 should be released on the market on AT&T's network, but it does seem to be the first solid step the handset makes in this direction, even if there are no specific details available on when that might actually happen.

The LG C900 is expected to make its way to the market with Microsoft's upcoming Windows Phone 7 OS on board, and it should be among the first devices that would run under the platform, it seems.

According to the FCC filing (via Engadget) on this device, it should be released with support for WCDMA bands II and V, which makes it fit for AT&T, but no further details are available.

Even so, previous reports on this device did unveil a series of details on what it might include, such as the fact that we're looking at a side-sliding device that sports a QWERTY keyboard and touchscreen display.

The LG C900 is also expected to pack Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity on board, but it remains to be seen what other capabilities LG might have included inside it.

Some more info on it emerged recently from the Bluetooth SIG website, where the device was spotted with an expected release date of “around September 28th” attached to it.

In related news, we learn that LG might release the device on the market as the Pacific, the named under which is known internally too, at least this is what a recent article on BGR notes.

In case this is the first LG device set to bring the Windows Phone 7 platform to the market, chances are that the actual release won't occur until early October, since that would be the month when Microsoft is should push the new mobile OS to shelves.

All in all, it shouldn't be too long before the first official pieces of info on this Windows Phone 7 device emerge, so keep an eye on this space for more.
