LG Electronics will launch a new line of mobile phones in Kenya. These handsets will be capable of some of the highest performances, including Internet services. They will mainly be targeted at the users interested in evolved technology capabilities coming from their devices.

LG has recently closed an agreement with YouTube in order to bring their videos on mobile phones too. With this, they look to make it possible for users of their devices to benefit from the latest high technology. Moreover, their solutions increase the amount of comfort that handset owners enjoy when using their devices.

The mobile phone producer company will bring the same amount of high handset capabilities to Kenya too from now on. They have already launched LG-KS10 phone model in March, this year. The device came with a 2.4 inch display screen, a 2 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth and several Internet browsing capabilities. This includes Google search, mobile G-mail and Google Maps as well.

A new launch is set for the near future through the mobile service providers Safaricom and Celtel. They will make it possible for the users of this handset to benefit from evolved Internet solutions compatible with the performances of the LG cellular.

"This is the era of tech-luxury. People want cutting edge technology that adapts to their needs. We anticipate selling 250 million units next year based on that premise", expects Henri Mattila, Head of Multimedia, Nokia, South and East Africa. These are high hopes coming from a market which brings only hints for proving the new mobile phones to be successful.

Their solutions are aimed at the younger audience for this market. These buyers want the latest performances in mobile technology and services and not only the basic ones. If LG manages to win these buyers, their market share has high chances of increasing and making serious competition for the local market.
