South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics already announced that it would deliver its elongated candybar LG BL40 Chocolate handset to the European market starting with September, at it seems that the company kept its promise. Handset users in the UK can already purchase the phone from Carphone Warehouse and mobiles.co.uk, either choosing for an O2 or an Orange contract agreement.

Those interested in this device should know that it is available for purchase for free on a £30 a month tariff, though users can go for other plans as well. Thus, for a £15 a month tariff one would get the LG BL40 Chocolate for £169.99 with O2 or pay £219.99 for it in case Orange's network is the choice. For the time being, it seems that mobiles.co.uk and Carphone Warehouse are the only ones to have the device up for grabs, yet it is uncertain for how long their exclusivity will last.

For those of you who might not have encountered the LG BL40 Chocolate until now, we should say that the design of this phone is one of the most interesting ones. It comes with a 4-inch display that boasts a 21:9 wide aspect ration and an 800 x 345 pixel resolution, and it proves to be one of the longest handsets on the market, if not the longest. According to its maker, the long display at the phone's Dual Screen UI prove great when it comes to viewing two types of content at the same time.

Other than that, users will also have the opportunity to enjoy a 5-megapixel photo snapper, 7.2 HSDPA support, one-touch copy and paste capabilities, and great personalization features. The UK market is only the first one to get the new device, since LG also promised it would become available in other European countries as well in the near future, so expect for more reports on its availability to emerge shortly.
