South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics is reportedly readying the release of a new handset based on Google's Android operating system, and confirmation on the matter already emerged, it appears.

Recently, reports on the upcoming availability of a a new high-end Android device from the company started to emerge, pointing at a so called LG B mobile phone.

According to the leaked info on this device, LG would be set to bring to the market in early 2011 an Android handset packing the brighter screen on a mobile phone.

Moreover, rumors suggested that the company would be set to showcase the mobile phone at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, January 6-9, 2011, and the move was already confirmed, via twitter.

The guys over at Engadged stumbled upon a tweet that came from LgmobileCES11, and which stated the following: “seein is believin! The super slim and super bright “LG B” Android phone. Come to #CES #CES11 and see with your own eyes!!”

The said tweet was already pulled from the Internet, but it confirmed not only that the device exists and that it would pack a great display, but also the fact that it would be one of the slimmest handsets when released on the market next year.

According to the leaked info on this device, it should offer a 40 percent improvement in brightness when compared to the Samsung Galaxy S, and a great improvement over the iPhone 4 as well.

The screen would be 4.0-inches large, while the device sports rounded edges, and most probably hardware specs on par with those included in the recently released LG Optimus 2X.

For the time being, however, no specific info on the specs list of this device emerged, and there's no telling on whether it would indeed land on shelves in early 2011 or not.

However, since CES is only several weeks ahead, it should not be too long before more info on the matter emerge, so keep an eye on this space for more.
