It seems that LG really keeps them coming this month. After the release of the full metal body LG SV240 Shine mobile phone, they have announced at the Symbian smart phone show another impressive device: the Joy, which is their first handset with a slider form-factor based on Symbian OS v9 and S60 3rd edition feature pack 1.

This is a phone that has many things to offer to its future users, all of them coming in a very light package as the people that hold it in their hands at the Symbian show have said.

Besides being a new feather weighted competitor on the mobile market, this pretty slider will also be known for its impressive feature pack that encloses a 2.4 inch LCD color display, a 2 megapixel digital camera for pictures and a VGA one for video conferencing, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP stereo support, a full integrated xHTML internet browser, an expandable microSD memory card slot and the must-have these days GSM / EDGE / HSPDA(3.5G) connectivity.

These features will bring back memories of the Samsung i520 and will also make you think about another phone, the Nokia N95, a device that has, as the i520 does, almost the same specifications as the LG Joy. This fact proves that LG really, really wants to take a big bite from the mobile market share that Samsung and Nokia split between them with their two phones mentioned above.

No official announcement has been made until now about the Joy's release or its future retail price, but until we will have something new to tell you about this subject- stick around and enJoy!
