For enhanced mobile experience

It's nice to sit and watch how Google and Yahoo are competing against each other to conquer the mobile search world. What's interesting is that so far both of the two companies have reached some sort of agreement with mobile phone manufacturers Samsung and LG.

After the Yahoo! and LG deal concerning the distribution of LG's mobile phones pre-loaded with Yahoo! Services such as Yahoo!Go for Mobile 2.0, Yahoo! Mail and Yahoo! Messenger, it's now Google's turn to team up with the Korean phone company. Google and LG Electronics have announced a global collaboration to pre-install Google's services on millions of LG mobile phones, enabling users worldwide to easily search for information, find locations, update blogs and manage email while on the move. Select LG handsets will be shipped pre-installed with Google apps and services, including Google Maps for mobile, Gmail and Blogger, starting the second quarter of the year.

"Building on our efforts to set new standards for wireless handsets, we are excited to partner with Google to offer extra value to consumers with enhanced mobile Internet experiences," said Mr. Paul Bae, Vice President of the Product Planning Team at LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. "LG's mobile devices, combined with Google, will provide consumers with easy access to their favorite Internet services even without a PC and make it easy for them to stay connected while in motion."

Mobile manufacturer LG plans to launch mobile handsets pre-installed with Google's products and services for the next few years, with at least ten new handsets to be released throughout this year.
