Those that felt sorry about not getting their LG Ally when Verizon announced its availability only on CDMA networks should reconsider as a new GSM version is set to be launched soon. The new smartphone has been tagged as LG C710 Aloha and will probably be available worldwide thanks to its GSM compatibility.

Courtesy of the TGSpot website, we have found out that the fresh GSM smarpthone will have the same features and look as its CDMA sibling. The device has even received a hands-on presentation from the abovementioned source and you can check out the video below.

Besides its full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, LG Aloha will feature a medium-sized 3.2-inch capacitive touch screen, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, WiFi (b/g/n) and Bluetooth connectivity, FM radio function, as well as a built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS. The slider smartphone is powered by a 600 MHz Qualcomm processor and embeds 512MB ROM and 256 MB RAM, but is also gifted with a microSD slot for memory expansion.

In terms of software LG, Aloha will be launched with Android 2.1 (Eclair), but will also feature a specific LG graphic user interface that will run over it. The phone is heavily stuffed with social-network services and is capable of playing XviD and DivX videos. Thanks to the 3.5-mm jack port, users will be able to change the included headset and add better headphones for an enhanced multimedia experience.

Even though there is no official information regarding the launch of LG C710 Aloha smartphone, the existence of the gadget cannot be questioned, as we have a bunch of photos and an interesting video leaked on the Internet. The pricing of the smartphone hasn't been disclosed either, but that should not be much higher than the CDMA version (US$100 on a 2-year contract).
