LG 27-Inch 3D IPS Monitor Has Almost No Bezel at All

People used to not pay much attention to how thick the bezel, the plastic/whatever other material that framed a TV or monitor, was, but that has changed and LG leads the charge towards a time when it is no longer there at all.

LG has not precisely made a monitor that has no bezel yet, but it is very close.

While the plastic beneath the screen is still very much there, the rest may as well not be.

In a move that reveals one of the products that will be present at CES 2012 (Consumer Electronics Show) the company introduced the DM92 Series.

The specs weren't provided for it, or for the other monitor lines that will be on display, but there is a reason people say pictures are worth a thousand words.

The pictures that LG posted along with its press release show a bezel that is probably no thicker than a millimeter or two.

Given that the item has an IPS panel, for greater depth, and even supports 3D, there is twice as much reason to gawk.

The diagonal is 27 inches and it is easy to guess that enthusiasts will be all over this thing, especially if LG is able to give it a reasonable price.

After all, few other monitors, if any, could hope to beat it in multi-monitor ATI Eyefinity or NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround setups.

There are even NVIDIA-based cards with Eyefinity-like multi-monitor support now too (KFA2 GTX 570).

The other 3D monitor lines that LG has in the pipeline are DM82 (23-inch, two 7W speakers), DM52 (23-inch and 27-inch) and D43 (has 2D-to-3D converter).
