After successfully releasing touch-screen phones such as Voyager, Venus, Prada and the exquisite Viewty on the global market, LG decided to extend its portfolio with another wide Touch Web device codenamed LG-LH2300. The new device features a wide full touchscreen LCD with 800 x 480 (Wide VGA) resolution that enables users to experience a full Internet browsing service.

Together with the innovative 'Hello UI' the LH2300 might be the answer to LG's boost on the rapidly growing touchscreen phones market. Moreover, the handset enables users direct access to various features offered such as: quick access to main portals through the Quick Search Icon and fast Internet browsing through the Internet hot key included. Last but not least, the jog wheel makes it easier to browse through the menus or navigate the Web, as the device doesn't feature a stylus.

One of the coolest features embedded is the 3 Megapixel camera with auto focus, which includes face recognition and image stabilization technologies. As usual, LG didn't stop here and packed its device with more 'goodies' such as: T-DMB technology, Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity and microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Seeing its secondary camera placed on the front of the device, we can easily guess that the phone also features at least 3G high-speed data transfer capabilities, but I'd rather bet on the HSDPA technology (3.6 Mbps or better 7.2 Mbps).

The phone has been announced immediately after LG Telecom (one of the main Korean mobile carriers) has opened a new 3G service called 'OZ' - which translates as 'open zone' - to provide a wide range of Internet services via mobiles.

The phone is expected to hit the Korean market in April and its suggested retail price has been set for 600 USD. Let's hope it will be announced in other regions too, as the phone looks 'tasty'.
