LFTP 4.5.2, a sophisticated file transfer program with a command-line interface that supports FTP, HTTP, FISH, SFTP, HTTPS, and FTPS protocols, is now available for download.

Every operation made with LFTP is reliable, which means that, if any non-fatal error occurs, the operation is retried automatically.

This latest version of LFTP is not a big update, but the developers have made a few interesting changes and improvements.

According to the changelog, a coredump that occurred on startup when the application was compiled with certain gcc versions has been fixed, the mkdir -q option is now used for quiet operation, the glob --exists and --not-exist options have been added, the torrent status has been improved and the availability statistics are now shown properly, and unconnectable torrent peers are now removed from trackerless torrents.

Also, the default values for some settings have been fixed, the handling of http redirection is now much better, the compilation of the software with gcc 4.8.3 is now working, and the CPU usage for 10Gb/s transfers has been optimized by using better data structures and algorithms.

A complete list of changes and improvements can be found in the official announcement. You can download LFTP 4.5.2 right now from Softpedia.
