The LEGO Group and Warner Bros., the two companies that are in charge of development for the MMO LEGO Universe, have announced that players have managed to complete construction on the Nexus Tower, the biggest player-made building in the video game, and that, as a reward, new content will be delivered to players in the coming weeks.

The Nexus Tower will become the headquarters for the four main coalitions in the game and will serve to protect the force of Imagination from the dark power of the Maelstrom and players will be able to access a lot of content from the structure, using the Launchpad to get into a number of other in-game worlds.

There are 50 new missions and achievements that will be added through the Nexus Tower update, with players able to get their hands on new LEGO bricks and new gear.

There are also new characters that players can meet in the Tower and some new vendors to trade with and LEGO Universe fans will also be able to get deeper into the story of the game, collecting background details on the factions of the game and getting clues about how the main story will progress and what twists are being prepared by the developers.

The Nexus Tower also offers a huge Vault which allows gamers to drop a number of items from their backpacks and store them there and access them at a later date.

The leaders of the in-game factions will also make appearances in the Nexus Tower: Duke Exeter, honorable leader of the Sentinels, Dr. Overbuild, leading the Assembly Faction as they build the world, Hael Storm, the leaders of the Venture League, and Vanda Darkflame, the mysterious Paradox power broker.

LEGO Universe is designed specifically for younger players, but all gamers who are fans of the LEGO mechanics can enjoy this rapidly growing MMO.
