TT Games has announced that LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game is now available for Mac OS X. In the meanwhile, Gametree Mac confirms on Twitter that all LEGO Universe servers now fully support OS X 10.7.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game is a digitally downloadable Mac game that costs $29.99 and allows players to enjoy memorable moments from the popular Disney films using LEGO minifigures and items.

The gameplay style is notorious thanks to previous TT Games LEGO titles.

An action adventure title bringing to life the Pirates of the Caribbean world and all its colorful characters, LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game puts everything in brick form.

The game features scenes from the upcoming motion picture “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” in addition to some memorable scenes from the first three films.

Mac gamers will experience familiar locations, more than 70 characters (old and new), and more than 20 levels.

Its developers have re-rendered scenes from the Pirates of the Caribbean films with LEGO minifigures, in a humorous style that is typical to LEGO video games.

A co-op mode will allow players can join a friend in the same room for two-player “drop-in/drop-out” cooperative gameplay. Other key features include:

Combat – The LEGO Caribbean is full of danger! Intense sword fighting moves give the LEGO minifigure a brand new pirate flavor
Puzzles – Players will need all their pirate cunning to find the hidden LEGO treasures and discover the game’s many secrets
Freeplay – Building a collection of characters throughout the game, players can then use their distinctive abilities to gain access to previously unavailable areas

LEGO Pirates Of The Caribbean requires an Intel (Core 2 Duo) Mac running OS X 10.6.4 (Snow Leopard), 1 GB RAM, 8 GB uncompressed hard drive space, keyboard and mouse.

In related news, Gametree Mac has announced on Twitter that, “All LEGO Universe servers now have support for Mac OS X Lion. The game will automatically update when launched.”

LEGO Universe is a massively multiplayer online (MMO) game developed by NetDevil. Gameplay is similar to that of Lego Star Wars: The Video Game and Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures.

The game features a character creator that allows even more customization than those available in previous LEGO games.
