'LEGO Life of George' Combines iPhone App with Real Bricks

If I didn’t know better, I could swear LEGO is taking on Disney’s AppMATes toy line with the new LEGO Life of George toyset, the world's first interactive game combining real LEGO bricks with iPhone apps.

As the above video shows, players will be tasked with building all the cool stuff that George gets to see on his journeys, such as… a pineapple!

“Follow George around the world as he challenges you to a series of fun building tasks. Build as fast as possible, capture your model with your iPhone/iPod camera and get scored on your building skills,” says the lovable Danish company.

You can also challenge your friends to see who is the fastest and best builder, says LEGO.

The toyset will be available starting October 1st, LEGO said. But the iPhone app is already up for grabs. Get downloading, it's free!
