A TSA agent has been shot and six people have been injured at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday.

The incident took place in the morning, and the suspect brought an assault rifle in LAX Terminal 3. The man was caught at 9:20 a.m., after police shot him.

The FBI have identified him as 23-year-old Paul Anthony Ciancia of Los Angeles. He left another TSA agent critically injured and two other TSA employees wounded, USA Today reported.

The victim, 39-year-old Gerardo I. Hernandez, tried to stop Ciancia as he fired through a security checkpoint.

TMZ reveals a cell phone video shot inside the airport. It shows threats being made, people being asked by police to stay in the hallway, on the floor, then running out of the airport.

The footage has been captured at the Terminal 3 baggage claim. Panic reigns as shots are heard and dozens head for the exit.
