The team has not managed to overcome internal problems

Sources suggest that Team Bondi, the development team that was behind the creation of L.A. Noire, has been laid off in its entirety after it failed to get backing for a new video game project.

MCV cites anonymous sources inside the company that say staff is currently being let go and that a formal studio closure will follow.

It’s unclear whether Team Bondi has plans to seek backing for its new game ideas elsewhere.

Team Bondi was created by Brendan McNamara in order to make L.A. Noire, an ambitious video game project that aimed to use motion capture technology. The ultimate goal was to create a game experience that would be impossible to distinguish from a movie.

Rockstar lent a hand in the creation of L.A. Noire, which was launched in May 2011 to mixed reviews.
