Major retailer Amazon is now offering the Kyocera Echo for just $119.99 with a new two-year Sprint agreement. That's $80 cheaper than the carrier's price, which is currently selling the smartphone for $199.99 with the same two-year contract.

Furthermore, Amazon offers 300 bonus anytime minutes for every customer who purchases a Sprint phone with the Everything Data 450 plan.

However, this is a limited time offer that runs through July 23rd.

Kyocera Echo was introduced earlier in March via Sprint, but the carrier only made it available in mid-April, after it too pre-orderd for almost a month.

Equipped with a single core 1GHz QSD 8650 Snapdragon processor, Kyocera Echo is powered by Android 2.2 Froyo.

It packs 1 GB of internal memory and comes with an additional 8GB microSD card in the sales package.

The smartphone's main attraction is the fact that is delivered with two high-resolution 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen displays connected by a patent-pending “pivot hinge.”

Thanks to the unique hinge, both displays are able to operate independently, side-by-side or combined to form an oversized 4.7-inch integrated display.

In addition, Kyocera Echo owners will be able to use the touchscreens in four possible ways: Single-Screen Mode, Simul-Task Mode, Optimized Mode and Tablet Mode.

Using the Single Mode, one can take advantage of the standard functionality of a single-display, touch-screen smartphone, but using the Simul-Task Mode, one will be able to check out any two of the phone’s seven core apps (messaging, e-mail, Web browsing, phone, gallery, contacts and VueQue) while they're running independently on the dual displays.

The Optimized Mode allows users to compose an e-mail on one screen with a touchscreen keyboard on the other, or watch a YouTube video on one display while browsing and queuing additional YouTube videos on the other.

The Tablet Mode provides users with the option to stretch a single application across both displays for a full 4.7-inch viewing area. This mode is mostly useful for viewing maps, videos, websites, detailed documents and long lists.
