Sprint has already made available for purchase on its airwaves their first device to offer support for the new Sprint Direct Connect service available for purchase on its airwaves.
The new mobile phone comes to the market with a rugged design and features support for push-to-talk features on
the Sprint CDMA network.
The handset is available for purchase from Sprint's website
here with a price tag of $69.99 (around 53 Euros) attached to it after a mail-in rebate and the signing of a two-year contract agreement.
The mobile phone is also listed as available for $269.99 if one would like to purchase it without committing to a contract.
The new mobile phone offers a nice range of features to users, including fast access to email and the Internet, calendar, GPS navigation, messaging capabilities, and access to applications and to social networking sites. Not to mention that it can offer various entertainment features to its users.
“The DuraMax gives you advanced technology at the speed of 3G, wrapped in a rugged clamshell that features a Dura-Grip non-slip surface. Record and share critical events using the integrated 3.2 megapixel camera with flash and camcorder,” the wireless carrier notes on its website.
The phone comes with Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, and can reach download speeds of up to 2Mbps on the Sprint 3G (EVDO Rev. A) network.
The handset also sports a microSD memory card slot so that users could add up to 32GB of external storage space into the mix. It is powered by a 1360mAh standard battery.
“The rugged DuraMax is built to military standard 810G for resistance to dust, shock, vibration, blowing rain, extreme temperatures, low pressure, solar radiation, salt fog, humidity and immersion (up to 30 minutes in up to one meter/3.28 ft. of water),” Sprint notes.
“Plus, you get all the features of our next generation of push-to-talk, including one-to-one and group calling, guaranteed talk permit, availability notification and talker priority.”
