Well, you have all seen Madonna wearing a Kylie t-shirt or re-creating the looks of the Australian pop diva in her Hung Up video. Now it was high time for Kylie to copycat the queen of pop. So, while still recovering from her breast cancer surgery and chemo-therapy Kylie decided to write a book aimed at the little ones.

The book's title, The Showgirl Princess, says it all: the main character is a girl who rises to fame as did not so long ago Minogue herself.

Still on cancer treatment (that was the cause for her ending touring) the diva gives writing a serious slice of her time. The Showgirl Princess book is due to be released in September by Puffin publishing house.

The young readers and her fans will be able to enjoy some exclusive photos of the glamorous author taken by William Baker that will also be featured in the book, together with some illustrations.

Jane Richardson, the book's editor declared the Minogue literary debut "brims with positive messages such as believing in yourself and the importance of friendship and teamwork."

Madonna's first child-oriented book of the English Roses series sold 500,000 copies worldwide. So Kylie has to do her best to be a real challenger to that.
