In a recent statement, Kylie Minogue thanked her fans for their support and said that she's feeling good after the operations. The singer was operated a few weeks ago for breast cancer.
Minogue declared that: "I've been informed that since my diagnosis thousands of women have become more aware than ever of the risk of breast cancer. Being 'breast aware' plays a major role in early detection so I was especially pleased to hear that younger women in particular are being more proactive with breast examination and talking to their doctors".
"I know that many of my fans have purchased the pink bracelets or pink ribbons and have made donations towards breast cancer support and research, and even cashing in Showgirl concert tickets as a donation, and I thank you.
I have been overwhelmed by your show of generosity and understanding. Just what the doctor(s) ordered. As for me I am getting through this one step at a time and your messages of love and support have been greatly appreciated."
Minogue said that "it will be a long road ahead", and plans to return to Europe to continue her treatment.
The singer also denied that her hospital room had been repainted pink, that ambulances had been diverted or that she imported English bodyguards and said that any suggestion about her heaving other boyfriend than Frenchman Olivier Martinez are "ridiculous" too.
