Kylie Minogue Visited Young Cancer Patients

Petite Australian singer Kylie Minogue decided to visit and encourage the children who are also receiving treatment for cancer. She returned to her home country, Australia, to meet with young sufferers at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne.

Kylie was looking great, as usual, smiling and cheering up the little children. This was the first appearance in public, since being diagnosed with breast cancer in May.

Kylie Minogue's sister, Danii Minogue, declared a few days ago, that Kylie will fully recover from the breast cancer and she is responding better than expected to treatment. Invited at the Diamonds Exhibition, which took place at the Natural History Museum in London, Danii paid tribute to her sister's bravery in battling the illness.

She revealed: "I heard today she's going to be fine. She's really lucky her cancer has been treatable She's going to get well and is getting better by the day I can't wait for her to be back fully on her feet again".

She added: "She's been inspirational - she's a fighter".

On May 17, 2005 it was reported that Minogue had been diagnosed with early stage breast cancer, and would receive medical treatment in Melbourne. The remainder of her Showgirl, The Greatest Hits world tour was postponed and she withdrew from the Glastonbury Festival.

The announcement of Minogue's cancer diagnosis resulted in a brief but intense period of media coverage, particularly in Australia where it has become the lead story of the day.

Minogue underwent surgery on May 21. Friends such as Olivia Newton-John, herself a survivor of breast cancer, urged the media and fans to respect Minogue's privacy.

Kylie recently made a public 'thank you' statement, and urged fans 'not to worry'. She later added that further treatment was to be pursued in Europe. (Wikipedia).
