With a new album, new songs and a brand-new clip that will have men drooling, Kylie Minogue has been making headlines left and right, as well as sparking controversy with her unusually steamy video.

Now, the Australian singer is again making news, but this time with revealing a life-long ambition of hers, that of being a Bond girl. With the production starting on the next movie, the 45-year-old singer publicly reveals that she's always dreamed of being a bond girl.

“I would be the oldest bond girl but of course it would be amazing,” said the star to Daily Star, admitting that if she's going to play a Bond girl, she better do it soon because, in her case, time is quickly running out.

Minogue is no stranger to acting, so she actually stands a chance in this race, that has seen famous women such as Halle Berry, Naomie Harris and Gemma Arterton become the love interest of the infamous British spy on the screen.

The singer does point out that her acting skills aren't a bit rusty, since she's constantly required to perform in her videos, “I guess I get to do some kind of acting, doing videos or putting on a confident face when I don't really feel that way. But proper acting, I get such a thrill out of that.”

She is so keen to star in a Bond film, that she's actually made an office to director Sam Mendez, who is still secretively working on the script together with the writers, after the resounding success of “Skyfall,” which went on to become the most successful Bond film to date.

Let's hope that someone manages to hand him a copy of Kylie's latest video and make her casting that much easier, because after looking at her stunning curves for just one minute, he'll have no problem in casting the Australian singer opposite actor Daniel Craig, who was announced to return as James Bond.

At the moment, there is no other news regarding the casting process and indeed regarding the entire production process as Mendes is notoriously tight-lipped and everyone who's been involved in the project has refused to disclose any details, indicating that they've all signed some ironclad confidentiality agreements.

So far, the cast of “James Bond 24,” as it's still called since an official name has not been made public, is made up of Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes in the role of M, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny and Ben Whishaw as Q.
