Kylie Minogue Dances on Tables... Literally

- The Australian singer is letting her hair down and starting a new chapter in her life

By: Monica Gaza, Entertainment News Editor

It's hard to imagine divalicious Australian singer Kylie Minogue behaving in any way that isn't reserved, stylish and classy. The petite singer, whose radiant smile and infectious energy have become somewhat of a trademark, has proved that her "wild girl" roots are still firmly in place, as she
stepped out in London's West End a couple of weeks ago and got her groove on at the Movida nightclub – without her formerly ever-present "gay husband" and faithful companion Will Baker in tow. Photos of Kylie's wild night of partying, drinking and table dancing have just emerged, and alongside these photos there are some more unanswered questions regarding Kylie's plans for the future.

Letting her guard down, knocking back alcohol and dancing on table tops is definitely a most un-Kylie-ish behavior – but as the singer's life quietly approaches an important landmark (namely, her 40th birthday), there seem to be some changes in the manner in which the pint-sized Australian with the will of iron sees herself and her future. On the other hand, nothing wrong with a little exuberance and letting off steam after a very busy – and emotionally charged – year of hard work, which ended in a spectacular comeback of the electro-pop diva.

Like so many times before, Kylie managed to re-invent herself and show the world that not even a terrible disease like cancer can bring her down and crush her inborn gift for being the ultimate showgirl – a light and sexy stage presence that brought her much critical acclaim and a huge number of fans worldwide. As Kylie is about to turn 40, she seems to be re-evaluating her priorities and heading towards a stronger expression of her creative self when it comes to her style. Her declaration of independence is the very fact that she has noticeably distanced herself from her guru stylist Will Baker, the man credited by many to have actually turned Kylie into the spectacular stage presence we've grown used to. It remains to be seen where her newly-found freedom will take her next.
