It's not a secret that Kylie Minogue is currently in the middle of a thunderous comeback campaign, with the launch of her new album in sight - and it's clear to all those who have followed the Australian diva that she is putting some serious efforts into taking the world by storm - again. Which, I must say, is working out just fine. However, as another proof that extremism is not exactly the best way to go after suffering from a grueling disease, Kylie has announced that she has canceled her upcoming world tour over fears that it could damage her health.
Kylie was planning to start discussing the finer details of her tour (such as tour dates, costume designs and track lists) with her stylist and adviser William Baker, seemingly ignoring the doctors' concerns that she was trying to do too much too fast. However, Kylie has stated for the Daily Mail over the weekend that she has now shelved plans to go on tour.
"The tour is not going to happen, it is far too soon. I can't do it next year. It kind of breaks my heart because that is what I'm in this business for. Not being able to go ahead with my plans is a real downer. Every woman has to face up to new priorities, near the top is health. I take my health very seriously but not obsessively. Everything is about pacing yourself", she stated.
However, on a different occasion, Kylie revealed that she would love to quit pop music and backpack around the world at some point in her life. "I'd love to travel - I'd love to have a backpack and just go. I'm genuinely thinking about doing it, with friends. Maybe with William Baker - my creative director. Big Willie and I, I'd be the one happy to go in a tent, he wouldn't", Kylie told Q magazine.
"There can't be two divas on the round and normally it's him! But that's what I'd really love to do. In the undergrowth and in the first - I'm a real Aussie! I need to go feral", she also revealed. Well, that definitely sounds like a better option that over exhaustion - but it has the downside of depriving the rest of the world of the lovely presence of the petite Australian diva and her luscious, glamour-filled appearances. However, I'm sure we all want Kylie to stay safe and healthy - and come back and dazzle us all whenever she feels ready. We all know she can - and will - do that.
