17-year-old budding designer gets frank with Cosmo

At 17, Kylie Jenner is the youngest of the Kardashian – Jenner girls but she already has several major accomplishments under her belt, including launching her own hair extensions line and a clothing & accessories collection (with sister Kendall). She also had plenty of plastic surgery already, word has it.

The Kylie of today looks almost nothing like the Kylie of last year: her transformation has been impressive and very quick. Rumor has it that she’s been getting her lips done with fillers on the regular, but that she also got her breasts done and other procedures.

She hasn’t, she tells Cosmo magazine. But that’s not to say she’s ruling plastic surgery out altogether.

Changes are due to improved makeup skills

Kylie has come under fire a lot in the previous year after posting several photos showing her with full, almost clown-like lips. The difference was all the more startling since she had very thin lips to begin with, but she always explained it by saying she’d just gotten better at applying makeup.

She reiterates that in her Cosmo interview, while adding that some changes will be noticeable in her body because she’s growing up.

“You guys have watched me grow up since I was 9. My face is going to get different. Now, I know how to do my makeup, contour, and everything. I’m not against surgery. I’d never say no, but I don’t desire it right now,” she says.

Kylie’s style of applying lipstick well beyond the natural lines of the lips even sparked a new trend in 2014, when you couldn’t go online without stumbling on at least a couple of new Kylie Jenner Makeup Tutorials a day.

She insists that this is the only reason she looks so different today than she did one year ago, when she still had thin lips.

Fame at an early age

In the same Cosmo piece, Kylie also talks about fame and how it was like for her to grow up in the spotlight because she was part of the most mediated family in reality television. She’s not about to deny that this opened countless doors for her, but she’s also honest about how it wasn’t always the best place to be.

Teenage years are difficult as it is; having so many eyes on you while living through them isn’t always amazing.

“When I was like 10, 11, 12, I had a really hard time with the media. During your adolescence, girls deal with their peers at school, then they go home and they don’t have to deal with it [there]. It was a lot more haters to deal with… especially since I was younger and my sisters were so beautiful and had it all together. I can have my moments and say that I don’t want this life anymore, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. The good is definitely worth the bad,” Kylie says.

The Kardashians aren’t exactly honest about plastic surgery

The Kardashians are always saying that what we see on their reality show and in interviews is how they are in real life, that there’s no sugar-coating reality or any attempts to lie. Of course, we all know that this is not true – and the topic of plastic surgery has always been sort of taboo with them.

Indeed, the Kardashian women (Kim, Khloe and Kourtney) and the Jenner ladies (mother Kris, Kendall and Kylie) often talk about their beauty routines, which might include the occasional touch-up at a plastic surgeon’s, Botox or fillers, or laser treatments to remove wrinkles.

However, that’s not a guarantee that they’re entirely honest about it because, right now, there is no explaining for Kim Kardashian’s cat-face and ever-growing booty, or for Khloe’s almost bigger backside, or Kylie’s lips.
