With everybody cheering Kylie Minogue for her big comeback after she successfully fought cancer and then went on a break of a little more than one and a half year, the fans are again
worried sick about her condition especially now, that she was forced to cancel her UK dates.
On Friday, Kylie kicked off her 'Showgirl Homecoming' tour and the first UK date was set on Saturday, in Manchester. The show began at the appointed time and, according to some fans, the petite singer seemed alright. It was only when they noticed that she was taking very long breaks in between the tracks that they began wondering if something was not wrong with her.
At one point, Kylie was gone from the stage for almost ten minutes, then returned to sing a duet with her sister Danii and, immediately after that, when the band was preparing to start another song, she motioned them not to. 'I'm sorry and I've never had to do this in my career before but I can't sing on.', Kylie told the audience and left the stage.
Later, the doctors and her manager told the media that she had respiratory tract infection and that more members of the crew were down with the flu, asking people not to go all the way and infer that she cut the gig short because of something related to her previous illness, breast cancer.
Either way, she was ordered to bed rest and a statement was released, according to which the dates of the future shows will be determined sometime soon, after Kylie's condition is better. Fans are asked to hold on to their tickets, because they will remain valid even if the gigs are rescheduled.
