Kwort Linux, an operating system based on Slackware, has just reached version 3.2 RC1, the developers announcing a lot of updates and changes.

The biggest changes implemented in Kwort 3.2 RC1 include moving from  OpenOffice to  LibreOffice, a new Linux kernel from the 3 series, Firefox 7.0.1 (not available by default, but it can be installed from the ISO image) and the latest version of Chromium.

The reason for including Firefox 7.0.1 is the advancements Mozilla has made in memory management so that it can be safely used without slowing down the system.

Also, a complete PyGTK stack is available in the repos. There are tons of improvements under the hood, like the inclusion of LVM2 and mdadm for logical volume management and RAID support, and EXT4 filesystem supported in the installation.
