Kwheezy makes use of Debian 7.1 (Wheezy) and it's based on KDE 4.8.4. The distribution is also a full-featured OS, with all the applications, plugins, fonts and drivers that a user might need.

Highlights of Kwheezy 1.1:

• Minor improvements have been implemented to the installer, which includes the local-time fix; • Keyboard selection is now allowed before and after installation; • A new app called "Kwheezy Localizer" has been added; • The KDE Touchpad Configuration is now installed by default; • The login sound in no longer used in the Live session (speeds it up a bit); • A host of other minor fixes have been implemented.
