This is the final Beta release of Kubuntu 15.04

Today’s announcement for Ubuntu 15.04 (Vivid Vervet) Final Beta also mentioned the immediate availability for download and testing of Kubuntu 15.04 Beta 2, an official Ubuntu flavor built around the modern and attractive KDE Plasma 5 desktop environment, as well as the KDE Applications project.

As usual, we immediately took the Kubuntu 15.04 Beta 2 operating system for a quick test drive in order to report the new features it brings, as well as to create a screenshot tour for your viewing pleasure. Anyone who wishes to test the second and final Beta release of the upcoming Kubuntu 15.04 (Vivid Vervet) distribution can do so by downloading the Live ISO images from Softpedia.

According to the release notes, Kubuntu 15.04 Beta 2 comes with Plasma 5.2, the next generation of KDE's desktop environment, which is now used by default in the distribution, replacing the KDE4 desktop. In addition, it also includes KDE Applications 14.12.2, so you can access all your favorite KDE apps. Mozilla Firefox 36 and LibreOffice 4.4 are also pre-installed in the operating system.

Numerous bugs have been squashed in the second Beta of Kubuntu 15.04

Of course, numerous bugs that have been reported by users from the previous Beta release of the operating system have now been squashed in the second Beta release of Kubuntu 15.04 (Vivid Vervet). The Ubuntu 15.04 Final Beta, Ubuntu Cloud 15.04 Beta 2, Xubuntu 15.04 Beta 2, Lubuntu 15.04 Beta 2, Ubuntu GNOME 15.04 Beta 2, Ubuntu Kylin 15.04 Beta 2, and Ubuntu MATE 15.04 Beta 2 operating systems have also been announced today and are now available for download on Softpedia.
