Canonical has just announced a few minutes ago, January 23, the immediate availability of the second Alpha release of the upcoming Kubuntu, Edubuntu, Xubuntu, Ubuntu Kylin, Ubuntu GNOME, and Ubuntu Cloud 14.04 (Trusty Tahr) Linux operating systems.

The Kubuntu 14.04 Alpha 2 release introduces KDE Applications 4.12.1, an improved version of the buggy USB Creator application, Mozilla Firefox 25, on-demand installation for Gwenview’s plugins, and automatic crash reporting.

Download Kubuntu 14.04 Alpha 2 right now from Softpedia, but keep in mind that this is a development release and it should not be installed on production machines. Also, there are some known bugs, which can be viewed in the official release notes in case you want to test this unstable version.

Edubuntu, Xubuntu, Ubuntu GNOME, and Ubuntu Kylin 14.04 Alpha 2 (Trust Tahr) are also available for download on Softpedia, so go to our Linux section and grab the latest releases.
