Canonical has released the first build versions of the upcoming Kubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) operating system, with some interesting updates.

Kubuntu is an official derivative of the Ubuntu distribution, which incorporates technologies such as KDE Software Compilation and Plasma.

Unfortunately, there is few information available about Kubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail), with the exception of some details about the included packages.

Kubuntu 13.04 is based on KDE SC 4.9.2 (keep in mind that 4.9.3 version was just launched), and has Linux kernel 3.5.0.17.19, Samba 3.6.6, Calligra 2.5.91, and Amarok 2.6.0

The daily build of Kubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) can be found on the official Canonical website. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
