Kubuntu 12.10 Beta 2 has been announced on September 27th, along with the other distributions from Canonical. Probably the biggest change to Kubuntu 12.10 Beta 2 is the addition of encrypted and LVM partitioning options.
[admark=1]Kubuntu 12.10 Beta 2 (Quantal Quetzal) benefits from KDE Software Compilation 4.9 which adds many new features and fixes.
Also, Kubuntu has received a lot of new applications such as Skanlite for scanning, Kamoso for webcam images, tablet config, GTK config and Print Manager.
Users can now synchronize the Facebook accounts and the Google accounts with Kontact, including appointment, birthdays, and so on.
