Ku: Shroud of the Morrigan, an action title developed and published by bitSmith Games, has been released on Steam for Linux.

Ku: Shroud of the Morrigan is a game that combines the Celtic mythology with a steampunk atmosphere, with beautiful handcrafted graphics.

“Forged from an ancient tale of Celtic mythology. An action-adventure set in a future Ireland devastated by technomagical war and economic collapse, humanity clings on by using the remnants of technology that survive,” reads the official synopsis for the game.

The title features a fast fast-paced combat, multiple boss encounters, a combat arena with unlockable levels, a full Irish translation, strange creatures, and superb animations.

The Linux system requirements are also quite acceptable. The developer hasn't specified a minimum operating system, which means that most likely an Ubuntu 12.04 LTS will be more than enough. The rest of the hardware specs are pretty clear: a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor, 2048 MB of RAM, a 256 MB OpenGL 2.0 compatible video card, and 1100 MB available space.

More details about Ku: Shroud of the Morrigan can be found on the official Steam website. The game also benefits from a 10% discount that is set to expire on March 24.
