Many years ago, Kristin Davis helped rescue an orphaned baby elephant in Kenya. Since then, the actress has been doing her best to keep these animals safe from poachers.

Right now, she's trying to raise money to buy an anti-poaching helicopter. Fear not, she won't be flying the aircraft herself.

She wants to donate it to The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

“I have worked with The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust for many years. They raise orphaned elephants and reintroduce them back into the wild in Kenya,” the actress writes on the official webpage for her “Helicopter for Elephants” fundraising campaign.

“The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust needs a helicopter, so that they have a quick response team to scare the bejesus out of the poachers! Let’s get them a helicopter!” Kristin Davis urges.

Those who donate at least $26 (€19.94) could win a pair of Miu Miu shoes worn by the actress in the second “SATC” movie.
