14 DAY TRIAL // Diva Kristin Chenoweth was in New Orleans over the weekend, for the re-opening ceremony of the famous Saenger Theater. At the end of the show, she also asked the Mayor to come join her on stage for a duet.
You can see a segment of that performance in the video above: it’s not much, but it’s enough to show you what an amazing performance it was.
The Times Picayune notes that the Mayor wasn’t the only surprise guest in the 2 ½-hour show, because Kristin also asked a teenager to join her on stage for a performance, like she does in most of her shows.
“Joined by the Symphony Chorus of New Orleans and the combined voices of several other chorales, the mayor kicked off a rousing finale of ‘Do You Hear the People Sing,’ from ‘Les Miserables’,” the publication says.
Chenoweth’s show included some of her biggest Broadway hits, but also classics from other artists.
