It seems that things have never been worse between the former DWTS buds

In 2011, Kirstie Alley joined ABC’s Dancing With the Stars and she was paired with pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy, with whom she developed a great on and off-camera relationship. Things took a turn for the worse just recently, and Maks believes it’s all due to Kirstie’s involvement with the Church of Scientology.

She, on the other hand, is hinting on Twitter that the reason she and Maks are no longer on speaking terms is another and that it might have something to do with Maks being a vile human being.

Late last week, the dancer was on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live to talk about his DWTS departure and his next project. The topic of his once-so-mediated friendship with Kirstie also came up and he said that, when he became friends with Leah Remini, who famously defected from Scientology last year, Kirstie cut him out of her life.

Maks made it sound as if he wasn’t upset with Kirstie and didn’t even hold a grudge against her, but at the same time, he also made it clear that the rift wasn’t on him but on Kirstie entirely and her belief in Scientology. It is a well-known fact that defectors are banned contact with current members, which means that, when Leah became a “suppressive person,” Maks became one too for associating with her.

“Dear Sir... after you have [expletive] raped me there is really no need to include ‘I wish you the best’... it's rhetorical,” Kirstie tweeted shorty after Maks’ comments made it to press. She doesn’t say whether she’s talking literally or figuratively (as in, back-stabbing) but it’s clear that whoever this tweet is about might as well be dead to her.

So now everyone is thinking that she said these things about Maks, which would mean that he wronged her in some unpardonable way and this is why she’s no longer speaking to him, not because she’s a Scientologist and he’s obviously not.

However, in other tweets, which you will also find embedded below, Kirstie seems to go to great lenghts to distance herself from Maks and any potential controversy on the topic. She says she’s not the type to drop innuendos on social media like that because, if she wants to call someone out, she just does it with names and everything.

She also rants against the way the tabloid media and the celebrity blogs like to cling to every little thing that comes out of a celebrity’s mouth and/or fingers, to spin the words into something scandalous.

The jury is still out on that last part. It’s no secret that celebrities often use social media to take jabs at former friends, rivals, and strangers. Kirstie too has done it in the past, most notably when Leah left the Church and she “disowned” her publicly, so you can’t really blame the world for assuming she did it again, this time with Maks.

If that was really the case, what could Maks have done to Kirstie to make her compare it to “[expletive] rape”? What and who do you believe? Let us know in the comments section below.
