Despite claims that her romantic involvement with married director Rupert Sanders was just a “momentary indiscretion,” it turns out that Kristen Stewart had actually been cheating on Robert Pattinson with him for at least 6 months when she was caught in the act by paparazzi on July 17.

Ever since photos of her making out with Sanders, who directed her in “Snow White and the Huntsman,” came out in the press, Kristen has been at the receiving end of very harsh criticism.

Her and Sanders' only defense is to claim that they did not have an “affair” in the common sense of the word but rather an “indiscretion,” which could mean anything from a one-night stand to a one-time thing, namely that one time they were caught kissing.

Leopold Ross, the brother of Liberty Ross, Sanders' wife, thinks that the “indiscretion” excuse is a lie – and he's not afraid to say so in a statement to Radar Online.

As the director's brother-in-law sees it, the two must have been sleeping together when they were still working on or promoting “Snow White,” which means the affair was at least 6 months old when news of it broke in the press.

“It was from the last half of filming and all through post-production, clear into last week,” Mr. Ross says for the celebrity e-zine.

“The movie shot from September 19 to December 10, 2011, meaning that the affair actually began last fall, according to Leopold,” Radar explains.

Liberty also had a small part in the film but, once she was done shooting it, she left the set and went home to be with her and Sanders' two children, leaving the coast clear for him to cheat on her, her brother believes.

“She made some sacrifices for something she thought was worth it, now she knows, right? Five minutes from her home...” Mr. Ross further says.

He seems to be hinting that the marriage is no longer worth it, as if his sister has already made up her mind to end it with Sanders after this.

Not the same goes for his side of the story, with Sanders' father telling People that he's “sure” their relationship will survive this “minor” bump in the road.

“From what I gather nothing really happened and it is all a lot of fuss about nothing. I should imagine it was something very brief. She is a very pretty girl and when you work that closely with someone for so long, sometimes things happen. He is very honorable, hardworking and [a] dedicated father and filmmaker,” Michael Sanders says.

“Of course their relationship will survive this. This is nothing – they will definitely survive all of this. It is all a lot of fuss about nothing,” he adds.
